报告人简介:

余涛,澳大利亚伍伦贡大学土木、采矿与环境工程学院教授,研究生事务主任,国际复材结构中心联合主任。主要研究领域为土木工程复合材料结构,主要包括新型组合结构、复材加固结构以及复杂结构的有限元模拟。已发表学术论文120余篇,包括SCI期刊论文60余篇,其中多篇论文列所发表杂志被引用次数最多或被下载次数最多的论文之中。所发表论文在Web of Science中被他引1000余次,h-index20

主要学术兼职包括:国际土木工程复合材料学会(IIFC)理事及执委会成员;SCI期刊Advances in Structural Engineering副主编(Associate Editor)SCI期刊Structure and Infrastructure Engineering副主编(Associate Editor); 美国土木工程学会期刊Journal of Composites for Construction编委;中文期刊《建筑结构学报》编委。曾获国际土木工程复合材料学会杰出青年学者奖(IIFC Distinguished Young Researcher Award)、澳大利亚基金委优秀青年基金(ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award)等奖项。

报告摘要:Over the past two decades, fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites have gradually gained wide acceptance in civil engineering applications due to their unique advantages including their high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance. In particular, FRP strengthening of concrete structures has become a mainstream technique. More recently, the use of FRP to strengthen existing steel structures has received much attention. This talk will start with a discussion of the use of FRP in the strengthening of steel structures where the advantages of FRP are appropriately exploited. The talk will then provide a summary and interpretation of existing research on FRP-strengthened steel structures. Topics to be covered by the talk include steel surface preparation for adhesive bonding, selection of a suitable adhesive, bond behaviour between FRP and steel, flexural strengthening of steel beams, and strengthening of hollow or concrete-filled steel tubes through external FRP confinement.
