报告人简介：

Prof. Dr. Ir. H.J.H. Brouwers is an internationally leading scientist on sustainable building materials. He is currently the chair of the research group Building Materials and head of the Unit Building Physics and Services (BPS) in the Department of the Built Environment at Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands). Brouwers’ group investigates and develops building materials composed of cement, gypsum, lime and cementitious by-products, such as concrete, functionalised materials and stabilised waste. Fundamental physical and chemical know-how, e.g. on (de-) hydration reactions, physical transport phenomena, thermal behaviour, multiscale analysis, and durability are researched experimentally, theoretically and numerically. The group possesses an advanced laboratory with 6 technical assistants. Prof. Brouwers is editor of a number of scientific journals and reviewer of numerous journals and research funding organisations. Prof. Brouwers has published about 400 publications, of which 200 in leading international scientific journals. He has been involved in various research projects funded by EU and Dutch national science foundation, with the total research funding over 12 mln €.

报告摘要：

In this lecture, Prof. Brouwers will give a brief introduction about the current research topics running in his group. The research topics cover a number of lines, including fundamental cement chemistry and hydration modelling, advanced building materials (such as air purifying concrete, self-cleaning concrete, 3D printable concrete), sustainable building materials (such as recycling, secondary materials and industrial by-product utilization, upgrading of waste materials as useful building materials, alternative binders), and durability of building materials (chloride attack, carbonation etc.).
